Challenged the youth today to be great. Was able to challenge them to figure out what's their why. The smiles on their faces tell the story.
With the help of champion boxer Billy Dib, we were able to raise more than $200,000 to help pay for, and provide more activities for young people at Hume Islamic Youth Centre in Melbourne, Australia.
Had a amazing time with Ohio State University Muslim Student Association. We had lots of fun and discussed many issues in Islam and solutions.
I enjoyed the youth and refreshments in Baton Rouge Louisiana. Lots of great questions from the youth.
While I was in Melbourne, Australia, I had the opportunity to meet an indigenous brother, Boori Monty Pryor. Boori hails from north Queensland and while his career path has seen him do many things, he now dedicates his time to teaching young Australians about Aboriginal history and culture by traveling all corners of the country visiting schools and educating the youth through dance, music and storytelling. He is a recipient of Australia's Prime Minister's Award for Literature and was named a Children's Laureate in Australia. His dedication to teaching young people about Australian Indigenous culture is inspiring!
Special, Special day with me and the Somalian youth at North Melbourne helping them push themselves to GREATNESS through dawah and good character.
Enjoyed the youth in Toronto, Canada for the "Stop the gun violence tour" August 2012.
