I am humbled to have had the opportunity to speak with a room full of eager college students at Sierra College. They were fun, intrigued, full of questions and ready to experience life. I was moved by their warm welcoming and kind words. Many if not all followed up with great questions and out the box thinking. What a life changing experience.
Words cannot describe of how thankful I am to always get unlimited support from the Abdullah Brothers. I love these brothers for the sake of Allah. May Allah continue to bless these brothers and keep them steadfest in the Deen of Islam.
Words cannot describe of how humbling it was to be in the company of these brothers and sisters in California. The beauty is we all come from all walks of life with different careers and backgrounds. What a powerful journey this was. We met up with intentions to create stronger ties in the Ummah and to be reminders to one another to become better Muslims.
Had the honor of hanging out with sister Bilqis Abdul Qaasir. She is the first college basketball player to play in hijab and denied entry to play professionally due to her hijab. Since she has been invited to the White House as a special guest to President Barack Obama.
Had a wonderful time catching up with sister Ibtihaj Muhammad who has won a GOLD medal as a member of the United States of America in Fencing Team in 2014. Ibtihaj is the first Muslim woman to compete for the United States in International competition in her sport. May Allah continue to have mercy on her as she inspires our sisters in Islam. Ameen
Humbled to enjoy a weekend with my brothers Oday Aboushi (The 1st American Palestinian to play in the NFL) of the New York Jets and Revert brother Ryan Harris of the Kansas City Chiefs. These are two unbelievable brothers with priceless character. These brothers compassion and love for humanity is unmeasurable. May Allah preserve these brothers health this season and grant them the BEST year of their careers this year. Ameen
As a new Muslim and forever student of Islam it is not often when Allah blesses you with the opportunity to sit and have dinner with one of Islam's most respected scholars in America. I am truly humbled to have been a guest at Dr. Jackson's home and sit and learn from him. Truly a humbling blessing.
